NBX TAPI Service Provider (NBXTSP)

The NBX 100 Communications System has Computer Telephone Integration features that allow you to integrate certain software on you computer with your telephone. You must install the NBX TAPI Service Provider (NBX TSP) on the computer where you will run a TAPI-enabled application.

To install the NBX TAPI Service Provider (NBXTSP):

  1. Select the NBX TAPI Service Provider from the TAPI Support dialog box.

  2. Run the application from its current location (As opposed to saving it to disk).

  3. A dialog box will appear asking you, "Do you want to install and run nbxtsp.exe," Click Yes.

  4. During the installation process you will be prompted to input the server IP address. This is the address you type into your browser to start NetSet (For example, 192.168.1.15).

  5. Next, you will be prompted to enter you telephone's extension, and then your password.

In order to complete the installation you will need to restart your computer.

Notes on Installing NBXTSP:

  • The NBXTSP installation program is included as part of the NBX system software, which means that new releases of NBX TSP are available when the NetSet software is upgraded.

  • If you are using Windows 95 and the NBXTSP installation reports that you are missing a required software component, install the Windows 95 Prerequisites Kit from the TAPI Support dialog box, and then rerun the NBX TAPI Service Provider installation.
